Team member getting "progress update" e-mails although turned off

I have a user who has all the check boxes on the "Alert Me" configuration
page turned off but she is still getting e-mails asking for progress updates.
How do we stop these?

She needs to be able to get notifications and alerts from the Document
Library but not from the Project Server side of the system. Is there a way
to do this?
