Teensy problem with hyperlinks in Excel 2003

Hi --

I have an Excel 2003 spreadsheet. In a cell I created a formula to build a
hyperlink (using HYPERLINK) based on the content of other cells. When I
finished building the formula and entered it, Excel created the proper
hyperlink in the cell, blue type and underline and all.

I then copied that cell and used Paste Special to copy that formula into the
7,000+ lines that followed. Excel built the correct hyperlink on every line,
but only the first line (the one I manually entered) is in blue and
underlined.

If I click (and hold) on any of these cells, then move my cursor to the fx
line and hit Enter, then the cell becomes blue and underlined. But I can't
do that to every line (over 17,000 across four worksheets) ...

I tried a copy-and-paste and a save-and-reopen. The columns stay the way
they are.

It's confusing to the end user because the columns don't look like they have
hyperlinks -- until the user inadvertently clicks on one of the cells ...

How do I get these hyperlinks to look like hyperlinks?

Thanks,
CL
