Okay, I have a text area box in a form. This means that,
as people enter text, they can press enter at the end of
a line to move to the next line to enter more text in
the box.
However, when the results are displayed on the
confirmation page, the line feeds have disappeared and
all of the text entered is in one continuous line. Is
there any way to keep this from happening?
Yes.
1. Open a new, blank Web page.
2. For each form field you want to display in your
confirmation page:
a. Set the Insertion point where you want the
confirmation value to appear.
b. Choose Web Component from the Insert menu.
c. Choose Advanced in the Component Type list at the
left, and Confirmation Field in the Choose A
Control list at the right.
d. Click Next.
e. When the Conformation Field Properties dialog box
appears, enter the name of the Form field, then
click OK.
3. You can format the page and arrange the fields any way
you want. However, to make the line ending from your
Text Area box appear, you should:
a. Select the Confirmation Field component that
displays the result from your Text Area box.
b. Choose Formatted in the Style drop-down list in
the Formatting toolbar.
4. Save the confirmation page you just created.
5. Open the page that contains your HTML form.
6. Right-click the form area, and choose Form Properties.
7. Click the Options button, and then click the
Confirmation page tab.
8. In the box titled URL Of Confirmation Page, enter
the location of the confirmation page you saved in
step 4.
9. Click OK and OK.
10. Save the page, then test using an http:// URL.
