How do you link a text box so that you type a heading one time, but it also
appears automatically in another text box within the document? Not sure if
link is the correct word? I am using Publisher 2002. Thanks.

You cannot. You can also copy and paste the Text Frame many times.
You can create a Merge file if you have many to do.
