Text Box - New Page

I have a non-anchored Text Box on a page of my document. If I insert a new
page into the document, I would like the Text Box to move to the next page.
Is this possible without programming?

There is no such thing as a non-anchored text box. Text boxes are drawing
objects and, like all objects in the drawing layer, must be anchored to a
text paragraph. If you format the position of the text box as "Move with
text," I believe it will do what you want. If you are using a version of
Word in which text boxes can be made In Line With Text, then they will move
with the text as a matter of course.

Suzzane, is there a way to determine where the text box is located in the
document? In other words, what page it's on?

Thanks,
Doug

Programmatically, you mean? If that's what you need, you'll need to ask in
one of the word.vba NGs.

Hi Doug,

For a 'visual' quickcheck, rather than a programmatic
check you can turn on the display of 'anchors' in
Tools=>Options=>View. When you select a drawing object
you should see what paragraph the object is 'anchored'
to. If the anchor is not locked you can drag the anchor
to a new holding paragraph.
