Text Boxes in Drawings print in wrong location

I've created a Drawing in an MS Word doc (Office XP) which include various
Autoshapes and Text Boxes. On the screen, I've meticulously placed the Text
Boxes and Autoshapes in very precise locations where I want them. It looks
perfect on screen, both in Print View and in Print Preview, but when I print
it, the Text Boxes get moved around, which destroys the precise placement
that I had for them.

I've tried to "Group" all of the items in the Drawing, but that has no
effect.

Again, it looks great on screen, but when I go to print, the various items
in the Drawing show up as if they were all moved around.

What happens if you try it with just one text box?
Have you got any print scaling specified in print options?
What paper size have you chosen versus what is in the printer?
If it moves with just one box how does it move?

Thanks for the reply.

I've chosen "Letter" as the paper size in the Print Setup options, and the
printer uses 8.5" by 11" paper.

The same thing happens with just one text box.

I neglected to mention it in my original post, but all the text boxes seem
to be shifted down and to the right of their intended position. The shift is
about a 1/4 inch down and 1/4 inch to the right. This is the same behavior
for multiple text boxes and for just one text box. However, the shift is not
exactly the same for all text boxes (when there are multiple). I took the
one-text-box case, and copied and pasted that one to several instances
throughout the Drawing, and the shift is slightly different for each instance.

Another point I should mention, although it may be irrelevant, is that I've
turned off "snap objects to grid" so my placement of text boxes and
autoshapes does not conform to whatever underlying grid that Word uses. I
don't know if this matters or not.

Just out of interest, does the same thing happen to a single ordinary short
line of text and you have just never noticed?

No, ordinary text (as in, text that is not in a Drawing) seems to be fine as
far as I can tell. The distance from the ordinary text to the edges of the
paper are consistent with my page margins.
