Text Fields referencing Document Text?

I make documents where the same text string (such as a phrase) appears
several times. Is there a way to type it into a document once, and
then to simply reference the initial entry to have it appear again
else where in the document?

In some cases, the text string is in a MSAccess table - in that case,
is there a way to just link to a specific field in a table to have the
text sting appear in my document?
