"Text Limit"

Don

Is there a limit as to how much text can be written in a
single cell? I've got a rather lengthy statement that I
tried to put into one cell but when I looked at Print-
Preview, only about half of the text appeared. All of
the text appeared in the single cell but not in the Print
Preview. I've solved this problem by breaking my text
into two cells but if there is a limit, I can't find
reference to it.

Thanks,

Don

Look at specifications in Excel Help.

The maximum number of characters in a cell is 32767, of which 1024 can
be displayed in a cell or printed.

You can go beyond this limit if you add manual linefeeds (alt-enter) at
least every 1024 characters.

Hi
Excel limits the cell entry with 1024 characters. You can extend this
with manually inserting linebreaks (hitting ALT+ENTER to do this)
