I am writing a technical manual and wondered if anyone knew how to add text notation styles, for instance I want all reference to browser controls in bold itallic. I really want this defined as a style. Is this possible

Many thanks in advance.

What version of Publisher are you using?

Did you see the Format > Styles and Formatting task pane?

Yes, I have many styles set up for my document. What I mean is if I have a sentence lik

"Upon clicking the Next button within each section of registration details...

within a paragraph (which has a paragraph style), I want to highlight all such objects (in this case a button) throughout the text such as the 'Next' in the sentense above is say Bold Blue in maybe a different font. This is common in technical texts to clarity and distinguish between actions, methods, properties etc. Each of these should have a style which should be globally set. I can't find how to set up such an (inline?) style

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think this would be differentiating between a paragraph style and a
character style. From what I can see, Publisher only currently supports
Paragraph styles.

Hi

It's incredible that such a mature(?) product can miss out such an obvious feature.
Word seems to have the Character Style so I guess I'll have to use that and create a more boring document.

Many Thanks for your responses.
