Text placing in a report

Robert

In WordPerfect I created a report that I use all the time where I open a template and prompts come up asking me to enter certain data. These prompts then place that data into the report in the locations needed. Some data is placed in the report in several different locations. Is there anything in Word that would be comperable? I have tried to design the same thing in Word but field codes only seem to put the data in one location. Can I tell a field code to enter the typed data in several locations?

You can cross reference any field that assigns its content to a bookmark (or
you can add a bookmark to those fields or text that do not assign the
content). The content of a bookmar can be reproduced with a cross reference
(a REF field). Such fields need to be updated to reflect their content. This
can be done automatically when the source is a formfield by checking the
calculate on exit property of the form field. For other fields you can
select all (CTRL+A) then F9 to update or use a macro from a toolbar button
to update - see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm
