Text "Strip" Problem

For some reason I have this recuring - but not constant - problem.

I set some text to "Strip" in at "Fast", and it just does weird things
For example - and this is today's and last night's problem - the firs
half of the line strips in, and the second half just appears. Ver
frustrating and annoying.

Any ideas

If it's not all the time, what is different about when it happens? What
else is running? Is your hard disk fragmented or is the Temp folder full?
What version of PowerPoint? What version of Windows? Do you have other
things going on on the slide? What are the transition settings? Does it
happen the second time your play it in the same PowerPoint session?
