text turned to symbols

any idea why most of the text in the presentation turned
to symbol font?? Not all pages, but most. I can
highlight and change the "symbol" to "ariel" font for
example, but not sure why this would have happened.

Let me know if you know the cause.

Go to View > Master > Slide Master and check to see whether you
inadvertantly made a change to a placeholder on the master and selected
symbol as the font.
