Textboxes on Toolbars in Word

Word 2000

I can insert a text box onto a Word toolbar (eg formatting toolbar). I want
it to display the style name of the paragraph that the insertion point is
currently in.

I want to use this to simply display the name, rather than the Styles Box
which enables the user to select a style.

Can anyone help with this?

If this doesn't need to be on the toolbar, you can see this information in
normal view by going to Tools >Options > View and altering the style area
width to around 1 inch/2.5cm. This then shows the style applied to each
paragraph in an area down the left hand side of the screen, but only in
normal layout, not in print layout view.
This doesn't work for tables though as you can have more than one style in
each cell or row depending on how your table is set up.
