"The file may have been changed..." error when you save workbook to network
server in Excel 2002:
NO changes were implemented on the OS Filer prior to the onset of these
issues. no changes have occured on the File/Folder permissions of the server
either.
I experience the same phenomenon opening from various Win2K servers.
having SP3 installed doesn't solve the problem since I have SP3 and all the
latest Office updates installed. Plus, it doesn't matter what OS. Happens
on Win2k or WinXP.
Does anyone out there have any ideas how we can stop this from occurring on
our network - where is it ultimately stemming from?
FYI- we have checked out the KB article pertaining to this error, but just
having SP3 does not appear to be enough to stop the problem - does SP3
contain the necessary reg hotfix for certain?
