the font will not change from 20 when I try to run labels

I have tried to run labels the toolbar shows the font to be 12 as soon as I
click onto the label screen it changes to 20. If I change to address envelope
the font will be what ever I want. I have wasted a considerable amount of
time today trying to get this done. Please help! Thanks jo1041
