The graphics I insert do not show, they are transparent!

Please help,

No matter what format I try to insert a graphic in, they are coming up
transparent! (Except for Clipart) I can see the sizing handles but not the
actual graphic.

I am having the same problem on a new Win XP SP2 box with Office XP SP3 loaded. I have the latest video drivers. Anyone?
