The select color when editing text

When I click and drag to select text, the color is the
same as the text I'm trying to edit. I can't see what I'm
doing.

How do I change that? Thanks!

What you're are seeing is the "background color" being set to the same color as your text. In other words...a bad
template!

You need to edit the "color scheme", to do that

Format menu > slide color scheme > custom > background color
