the selected file is not a valid microsoft office document imaging

I can not open a tif file in my xp pro. I have install office 2003 pro, and
my file is alocate in my server. if I do double click in the file I receive
error messaging "the selected file is not a valid microsoft office document
imaging"
How I can resolve this problem?

Try opening it in Picture Manager. Please be aware that there are many,
many different "tif" file formats, and that quite a few of them will not
open in MODI.
