I am a new MS Project Server Administrator - with very little (none) training.
I have logged into PWA and on my Home page the following messages appear.

Welcome to Project Web Access

Risks

Windows SharePoint Services. Contact your system administrator.

Issues

Hi

Your risks and issues reply on Windows Sharepoint Services

If you are not using Sharepoint and have enabled the risks and issues you
will get that error.. in this instance you would need to disable the risks
and issues and documents from the server configuration area in admin

Login to PWA

Go to Admin > Server configuration
Scroll down to Select the features ....
Scroll down the activeX grid
Scroll down to the Collaboration section
Select Deny at the Collboration level (blue line)
This will effectively switch off the Sharepoint functions (which is good if
you dont have Sharepoint installed:) )

If you do have Sharepoint installed and it has been working well until now

Login to PWA

Go to Admin > Manage Windows Sharepoint Services
Click on Test URL to see if the central admin is working
If it is successful - you should run PSComplus to re-establish the com
objects between Project Server and Windows Sharepoint Services

You will need the WSS service account details to do this ... see whoever did
the installation for that information if not to hand

To get to PSComplus.exe

Go to the drive project is installed on for this example c:

C:\program files\microsoft office project server 2003\bin\1033\pscomplus.exe

Note: 1033 assumes English language install

Select only Windows Sharepoint Services and enter the account details
domain\account & password

This will re-establish the com objects

Login to PWA ... should be ok

Hope this helps

Hi Chris:

I have not done anything with Sharepoint Services, but I think someone in IT
has set it up.
I was able to do the following:
---
In PWA, I clicked on:
Admin> Manage Windows SharePoint Services

On the "Conntect to Sharepoint Server" page, in the
SharePoint Central Administration URL: I clicked on Test URL.

This opened a new browser window "Windows SharePoint Services Central
Administration".

But then I don't know what to do next.

Chris:
I'm going to proceed with the other information that you have provided. (I
posted my reply before I completely read your response).

Renee:

In addition to Chris' suggestions, you should also know that this can occur
because the COM+ account does not have sufficient rights in SQL Server,
whether or not the account is properly applied to the COM object. You might
want to have a look at our projectserverexperts.com site for the training
you need.
