Third party host and MSN outgoing server (smtp) problems

Hello,

A few days a ago, I changed my web hosting company (for my company's
website)from Microsoft to a third party. I should mention that MSN is also
my current (ISP)Internet Service Provider. Before the move, I had been using
outlook XP 2002 to receive and send mails. For set-up, I had
POP3.mycompanyname.net for incoming mails and smtp.mycompanyname.net for
outgoing mails. The new webhosting company advised that I put there server
name for incoming and to use smtp.email.msn.com for outgoing. This is
because Microsoft will not allow third party smtp servers to be used on their
network. I made all the changes and I am able to receive mails. However,
when I try to send mails, it gets stuck in the outbox. When I run a test
account setting, it says "unable to connect to server. Please verify the
server name in the outgoing mail server field." Can someone tell me if MSN,
the ISP has another smtp outgoing server name for third party hosts. I don't
know why this thing is not working. I will greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you
