Thumbnails on a Webpage

I want to make a page to display thumbnails that when clicked on will
display the full size picture.

My first question is:
What's the best method to shrink the original down to a reasonable size for
a thumbnail?

When clicking on the thumbnail, do most people want to see the full size:
- as a popup window?
- as a separate webpage?

Many imaging programs create thumbnails automatically. Some even write HTML for you. For example-
Photoshop (6.0) has a "create Web-Photo-gallery" feature that does exactly what you are asking. It
will take all the photos in a folder, Create a thumbnail page, and also create individual pages for
all the pictures. You get to choose various items such as lay-out (how many rows/columns), thumbnail
sizes , full image size, page headers, etc.... You can then upload it to your website.

No version of FP will do this that I know of.

Google for "Album Creator"...much easier that using FP and made specifically
for what you're looking for.

Thanks.
I ended up getting a copy of Easy Thumbnails (freeware).

It can make thumbnails for about 100 images in only a few seconds.
