Thumbnails with red x

I have just uploaded by website and all of my thumbnail
pictures have a red x instead of the picture. My captions
are there and I can double click on the blank where the
picture should be and an enlarged picture shows up. What
did I do wrong?

How was it "uploaded". If the FP publish facility was not used you'll need to "upload" the _derived folder

I did not have the images in a folder, I just uploaded
them in the directory with all of my other web pages. The
captions for the image is there but no image. Do the
images need to be in an images folder?

Images do not have to be in a folder, but it sure does help organize not
only your website on your pc, but also on the server. The reason the red X
shows can be a few things.
1. the images are not on the server
2. the path to the images is incorrect
3. many servers do NOT like special character in file names. A space is
considered a special character. to keep it simple, make file name in all
small letters with no special characters or spaces.
