Time Booked Report

Suzanne

Hi,

We are running Project Server 2003 SP2.

I need to find all of the time booked within a specific project for
September, preferably including any time booked before this.

The "View task changes submitted by resources" only seems to be
available when approving timesheets, and only seems to cover the
resources who have booked time for the specific week but not prior?

How do I go about finding this at Task level, is there somewhere
within MSP that would provide this information?

Thanks for your help.

You might try the Task Usage view in Project Professional 2003. I believe
this will show you some of what you want to see. You can also print that
View and specify a date range in the Print dialog. Just a thought. Hope
this helps.

Thanks for the responce Dale.

I have checked and tryed to make a custom report in MSP which does
show the information but unfortunatly it only prints, there doesn't
appear to be a away to show only this information in a view and export
it Unfortunatly.

Within PWA, if I click on Admin, manage views, I have a view in there
called "tasks work" which I have ameded and saved, saying it's in the
project section. Daft question but how do I get to the view?

Thanks
Suzanne

Click the name of the project in the Project Center page. Unfortunately, I
don't think that View will give you the information you need. Hope this
helps.

You're quite right it doesn't, I have however found that if I go into
the adjust actuals area and select the team and date range it shows me
all of the information. The next issue is the view doesn't contain a
specific Enterprise text field 7 and I can't see a way to amend this
view.

Is it possible to amend this view to include an enterprise field, if
not I guess it's all going to have to be one by one.....

Cheers

I have however find I can get at the information of a fashion by going
to Adjust Actuals and selecting the team and date range. The issue is
it doesn't contain a specific Enterprise Text Field and I can't see a
way to amend this view?

Is it possible to amend? If now I guess its export the view and go
through it manually.

Thanks

No, it is not possible to edit the Adjust Actuals view. Sorry. If I
personally had to develop an "out of the box" solution for your problem, I
would create a new Assignment view in PWA for this purpose by copying the
Summary view. In this custom View, I would include the Actual Work field.
I would also group on the Project column and then on the Resource Name
column. When you apply the View, you must select the names of the resources
working in the projects you want to see and click the Apply button. Then
you must select the Timesheet Format option in the sidepane on the left.
From there, you can export the timesheet grid to Excel for date analysis.
Just a thought. Hope this helps.
