Timesheet- Problem

MAT

Hi
i have such a Problem:
I open a project (which is in Server) with MS Project 2003.
Then I change the actual work of a task for a Ressource.
Then I publisch the project again.
Now the Ressource can not see the actual work that I changed.
The days im Timesheet (which) I changed are empty.
The Ressource sees just the actuael work that he had with PWA changed.
But in Projct Center I see that the "% Comlited" is correct..
Any idea?
Thanks...

Good Morning,

Try Republishing the assignments and have the resource check PWA. When
you update the project as apposed to the resource through the time
sheet, their timesheet is not 100% updated until you re-publish the
assignments. You might also want to turn off the e-mail notifiy otion
when doing this.

When you manually enter progress in the actual Microsoft Project plan, you
must do the following to "push" the data to the user's Timesheet in PWA:

1. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
2. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
3. Click OK

Hope this helps.

My Overwrite is disabled, could this be because we are running actual hours
per day forced for all our projects?

If the option is disabled, it is because your organization is using Managed
Time Periods. Hope this helps.

Dale,

I need to overwrite actual work by resources and when I go to do that it is
grayed out. How can I do this???

Many thanks,
Jennifer

This indicates that your organization is using Managed Time Periods, which
means that all Actual Work must be entered in PWA, and that you cannot
manually enter Actual Work in the Microsoft Project plan. Thus, what you
need to do is inconsistent with your organization's Project Server settings.
Your best bet would be to ask your Project Server administrator to disable
Managed Time Periods temporarily, enter Actual Work manually and Republish
Assignments, and then re-enable Managed Time Periods again. Hope this
helps.

Thanks Dale. That worked for us.
