Timesheet view in PWA 2003

Hi,

I would like to understand whether "% work complete" and "Actual Hours" are
inter-related or not. For example: For a Task1, Work = 16 hours, % Complete =
50%.
Does this mean that "Actual Hours" = 8 hours ?

In a practical scenario, a person may work for 8 hours on the above Task1,
but the task need not be 50% complete.

Could you please tell me whether " % Complete" & "Actual Hours" can be
considered as unrelated attributes in PWA 2003?

If a person works 8 hours on a 16 hour task, then they are necessarily
50% through the amount of work required. It may of course be the case
that the task actually needs more or less than 16 hours of work done to
complete it. In that case the 8 hours will not be 50% of the work
complete. When you discover that you original 16 hour estimate is
incorrect is the point at which you will get a true measure of the work
complete. However the work complete percentage is the percentage of the
total estimated amount of work that has been worked.

You may of course not be 50% of the way through your timeline and I
guess that is what you refer to in your practical scenario. The work
complete metric tells you nothing about the time at which you can expect
your task to complete.
