Dashboard for Project Progress

Kate

My company uses Project Web Access to track time, and they use MS Project to
track project related tasks and milestones.

Is there some way to utilize one or both of these products to create a
project dashboard? Our requirement is to be able to have all members of a
project team (including core team and sponsors) see the progress a person is
making on a task (as far as hours and % complete), and their impact to the
project as a whole (whether they are ahead or behind schedule).

Since the team is already putting their timesheets in PWA, is there a way we
can reflect a % complete on tasks and documents, along with hours completed,
hours and % left to go on tasks and docs, etc.? More than a gantt chart view
- we want to see a progress dashboard with % complete, and impact to other
tasks and the project.

Thank you,
Kate

Hi,

FYI. I have a post published on my blog that discusses project performance
with dashboard indicators using the planned % complete vs the actual %
complete.

Hi Kate,

You might try posting to the project server newsgroup if you don't
find what you need at Hisham's blog. I believe the creation of
dashboards would be against the Project Server and you would create
the new views there.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
