To do list Report doesn't show Work per resource

P

Pete C

Hi, when I run a 'To Do List' report, filtered by resource, then while the
'Work' column is displayed, only the total work for that task is shown. What
I am needing to do is, for each task, to show only that particular resource's
work.

If relevant, am using Project Professional 2002 (10.0.2002.0502).

Any ideas please?

Pete,
I assume you have multiple resources per task. If so, you can't get
there from here with the "to do list" Report. Will the Resource Usage
Report with the Resource Range filter meet your needs? If not, you might
try using the Resource Usage view and customize it to provide the
information you want.

Hope this helps.

Hi John

Cheers for the pointer. The Resource usage report with resource range
filter gives a breakdown of work per resource by week or month etc. Which is
ok, but I really would like to indicate a single figure of work per task for
a given resource, alongside task start/end/duration/% complete.

I'll try customising the Resource Usage view and exporting that as a report.

Thanks.

Pete,
Well the Resource Usage view DOES have a single value of work by task
assignment for each resource. What is a little more difficult to obtain
in that view is the assignment (i.e. task) duration and % complete. That
information CAN be added to the view using spare assignment fields. You
might want to take a look at our MVP website:
