Too many messages

My monitor died and it took 3 weeks for the model I
ordered to arrive. I now have hundreds of messages that I
want to remove with out spending hours removing them one
at a time. Is there a simple way to remove 100% of the
messages from my in box?

Highlight the first message, press shift and highlight the last
message. Then click delete. or if you want it all gone.. Ctrl-A
followed by delete.
