Tracking Changes

B

Beth Rice

When using Word 2002 and I make changes to a document,
save it as a final copy (showing no changes) and I send it
to a Word 2000 or 97 user, they see my tracked changes,
even though I saved it as a final showing no changes. How
do I stop this from happening? I do not want the 2000 and
97 user to "see" my changes.

Thank you.

If you click the Icon on the Reviewing Toolbar showing a
yellow folder with a blue check, one of the options will
allow you to Accept All Changes. Once you do that you will
remove your tracked changes. You can then save the file
using Save As giving it a new name and send the file to
anyone and your tracked changes will not be there any
longer.

Also see the options on the Security tab of Tools | Options for removing
personal data and alerting you if you are about to print, save, or send a
file containing tracked changes or comments.
