Tracking Jobs sent/received via emal

Hi all:

Here's my situation: I work with translations and receive all jobs via email
attachements, finished jobs are also all sent via email - additionally I
also have collaborators who do part of the translation work. Therefore, I
usually have many sent/received email for each job.
My question is, does anyone know if there is some way of tracking/following
all these emails - as simply as possible?
An idea I had would be to assign a job # to each inbound email (i..e, create
job#s and put them in the category field of the Message Options for the
emails) and somehow propagate this job# to all subsequent sent/received
emails (maybe putting this job # in the Subject field?) but, somehow, I
would think there are better ways to do this...
Has anyone ever thought/seen this situation, or know of thomething that
already may do this tracking/control?
TIA, SJ

You can enter a job number into the category field, which actually creates a
category that is not entered into the Master Category List. Outlook
automatically appends that category to replis and forwards.

If all of your mates also use Outlook and don't have rules running to delete
the category that would probably be the easiest approach.

Hi Michael, thanks for your reply.

Do you know of any existing system that already does this?

Thanks again, JS
