Transfer of ownership

I own a full version of Office XP PRO. I bought Office 2003 PRO and I would
like to give my son and daughter in-law my copy of Office XP PRO that I'm not
using anymore.

How do I go about it so they don't get in to trouble. Do I need to sell it
to them? Or can I give it to them? What is the process?

Full version as in full retail and not preinstalled on your computer? It
makes a difference.

Great.

Uninstall it from your old system. Give your son/daughter in law the CD and
make sure you have the product ID code. When they install it, they will need
to select the telephone activation method and will have to explain the
situation. You don't have to sell it, you can give it away - but you cannot
keep it on your system, nor can you keep the disks. It must be a clean
transfer of ownership.

I just did the same thing. Gave a friend Office XP Pro. Hubby has his own, I
have 2003. That copy was collecting dust.
