Transfer Office 2007 to another computer?

Vince

I've installed Office 2007 Home & Student (3 license version) on two
computers at home. The third computer is due to be replaced at an
undetermined time in the future. If I install Office on it, will I have any
trouble transferring the license and installing it on the replacement
computer later? What is the procedure for this?

Thanks

If it's retail, you will have no problems. You might have to make a call
and explain the situation but they'll activate if for you.

1. None
2. Remove from one PC, install on replacement.

If I follow through with my plan as detailed in the first post, the new
computer will then be the fourth installation of the license, I assume it
will be denied when I go online to activate. Will MS then provide a phone
number to call and talk to a live person to explain the situation?

Thanks

It will activate on line if it's been over 120 days since the first
activation. If not, it's a phone call and you will be given a number to
call.

You may need to use telephone activation, but as long as it is only
installed on three machines at any one time, all will be OK. It's not the
number of TIMES you install it, but the number of machines it is installed
on....

Is MS able to tell if it has been deleted from one of the original 3
computers it was installed on?
