Trial version of project 2002

I am re-taking a project management course at my
community college. I first took the course in Aug - Dec
2003. I purchased a reference book Information Technology
Project Management 3 edition by Kathy Schwalbe. It came
with a trial version of project 2002 for 120 days. I had
to drop the first class because of personal reasons.
Since I installed the trial copy over 120 days ago it has
expired. I removed the first copy off my PC and tried to
reinstall the software but it won't let me install it.
It gives me a message when I try to bring it up (This
trial copy of microsoft project 2002 has expired). Is
there no way for me to re-install this trial version. If
I buy another book with a different copy of the trial
version in it will I be able to re-install then.

Thanks in advance

Nope, sorry. You *might* be able to reinstall if you reformat the hard
drive and reinstall everything from scratch but MS is pretty good at
limiting you to one shot to evaluate a product. At the end of 120 days they
figure you should pop for the regular version - if you could just reinstall
the free version ad infinitum how would they ever sell any product <grin>.

I have a question about the Trial version.

Currently I am running Project 98 and the company is
considering upgrading to 2002 (Standard) or 2003.
Is it possible to anyone to get their hands on a Trial
version, which doesn't have to be as long as 120 days, but
something so we can check out if it is worth it.

Thanks,
Jozie
