I recently had to reinstall office. The installation from the CD went fine. I
went toi the office updates site and successfully installed SR1a. However,
when I try to install SR3, it downloads fine but gives an "installation
failure" error box. When I check the About Word (or Excel or Powerpoint) it
says that SR3 is installed! However, when I check the update history it does
not show SR3. Unfortunately, I cannot install any security patches since I
need SR3 to continue. Any help to resolve the phantom SR3 would be
appreciated.
