"Turn off" Actuls??

In my environment, we do NOT use the timesheet to collect actuals. we use a
separate system for that and do not import into MSP. The problem arises when
we need to enter an actual start and actual finish for each task. Since
there are NO ACTUALS in the plan, and we ZERO out Remaining WORK at the end
of each month, the SYNC to ACTUALS box always pops up. If you sych it wipes
out the Actual Start and Actual Finish dates you just entered. If you do not
sync, you leave your plans vulnerable to incorrect actuals left in plan and
captured in DataWarehouse, misleading your Remaining work figures. Any ideas
as how to make MSP not look for actual work??? Thanks!
