Turning off autocomplete/predictive text

How can I turn off autocomplete/predictive text? For example, I want to
stop it automatically completely the entire date if I type "2008".

In the form's Design View make sure the Properties dialog box is visible
(double click the Form).
Place the Focus on the Control you want to change.
Click the Other tab.
Change the "Allow AutoCorrect" to No.
Save the form.

Thanks, but what about when using Word or Outlook (I'm running Office 2007 on
XP)? How do I stop the program trying to tell me what to type?

Ask in a newsgroup supporting those programs, rather than in this Microsoft
Access forum.

The webpage can be confusing and may have misled you - scroll down the list of
subject areas and post in (and perhaps also mention <g>) the program you're
using.
