Turning off Leveling in MS Project

Hi,

I turned on leveling for one of my projects. However, now when I open any
project file, Leveling is on. I want it to be defaulted *off*. I've gone to
the tools/leveling menu and done "stop" etc, but no luck.

Any ideas?

You mention "stop", but you need to select "Manual".
