Two cutom installs of Office?

G

Gordon Price

We have MS Office 2003 Pro, and I have built and used a custom network
install that does not install Access or Publisher, but does install Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Now I would like to create a seperate custom
install that ONLY installs Access, but leaves the other application in place.
At the moment I have created the new MST and made everything but Access
unavailable. My worry is, when I install this will I effectively remove
everything but Access? Or will the current install of Word, et al be left
alone?

Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Gordon,

The custom installation wizard only works for an initial install (it mimics a user installing directly from a CD). Once you have
installed MS Office 2000 Professional edition to change the feature set that is available you'd use the Custom Maintenance Wizard
from the Office 2003 resource kit.
