Un-Merge a merged cell

I have taken a table from a document and transfered it to
Excel. I cells now appear as 3 cells merged into one how
can i bring these back to one cell? There is no need for
3 merged cells as the content of each cell is not big.

Format/Cells/Alignment tab, uncheck the Merge cells checkbox
If you have XP or later, the toolbar button which merges cells is a toggle
and clicking it again will unmerge them.
