Un-openable file

HELP! Running Project 2000. I can't open my master file.
(The Application Error message is: The instruction
at "0x30145ff5" referenced memory at "0x0001a64". The
memory could not be "read.) I've had this happen to 2
other files using other MS Project 2000 programs on 2
other computers. Is it possible to recover a file with
this problem?

Sounds like a corruption. Master files are usually replaceable provide the
sub project files haven't been corrupted as well. Open each of them in turn
and immediately re-save each. This forces some file housekeeping. You can
then rebuild the master file.

ALWAYS keep master and subfiles in original folders. Don't move or
over-write without first disconnecting. Master files use old DDE technology
which is notorious for corrupting files if abused.
