Unable to delete messages

Stumped One

For over a week now I have been experiencing difficulty deleting e-mails from
my inbox, sent and deleted file folders in Outlook Express. Just wondering if
anyone has any ideas as to what might have caused this problem or how I might
be able to correct it? You help/input/advice is greatly appreicated!
