Unable to delete

Hi,

I'm running Win98, 48mg Ram and Outlook express version 5. I'm unable to
delete any email items by using either my delete key or the right click
delete option. Any help would be appreciated.

How many items are in the deleted folder and does it work if you empty the
deleted folder?

We deleted everything out of the deleted folder but there had been too many
messages in there previously. Is there a way to compact after deleting?
