Unable to save some documents

Loaded microsoft office XP on windows 98SE. When I bring
word documents home & load thenm into computer via Memorex
traveldrive, I can change documents ,but word won't save
my changes.
What can I do ?

Have you tried saving with a new name? Where are you trying to save them to
the hard disc or back to the traveldrive?

I tried this. Didn't work. I only have this problem when I
am using an alternate template. I can save when template
is normal. I can't save using alternate template.
