Unable To Stop Sharing Folders Outlook 2002 (XP)

P

poppet

I've recently moved the storage of emails from .pst files on client
machines to exchange on the server. I can now see the public folders on
the server & also open other users folders via file>open>users other
folder. I want to be able to turn off the sharing of some peopele's
folders, however even though I've set the permissions on machine No.1
to Name:default Permission Level:None, you can still view this folder
on machine No.2. I also added the name of other person trying to access
folder on machine No.1 and denied permissions but you can still view
folder!

Can anyone help?

Check the user account (and containter) permissions in Active Directory Users & Computers. The symptoms indicate that they're set too loosely.
