Unexpected Quit When Maximizing

Word is unexpectedly quitting when maximizing when more than one
document is open.

Bear with me here as this is an odd problem.
Config:
Windows 2000 Pro
Office 2003 Pro

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any Word document or create a new one.
2. Make changes within that doc.
3. Minimize the doc.
4. Open a second doc
5. Maximize the first doc by clicking on it from the taskbar. It may
take a few clicks.

And Then.... POOF!

There goes Word and any changes you have made.

And Ideas?

I run the same configuration on my Office Laptop and have never seen
what you indicate. I have seen WORD crashes and more frequently WORD
going to 100% of the CPU but never with the repeatability of what you
have indicated.

Even though, I had uninstalled and reinstalled office before. I tried
it one more time and it worked. I made sure to reboot between
uninstall and reinstall.
