Ungroup a Clipart Image it becomes blank, what do I do?

When Im in Publisher I have imported a Clipart image and I ungrouped the
image but when ungrouped the whole image becomes white. Am I doing something
wrong?

Could they be behind something else?

View, clear "boundaries and guides." Does this help? All clipart, or this particular
image?

Do you have "detailed display" enabled? (view, pictures)
