Uninstall Office 2000 without the CD

Rob Walsman

Hi: I had the Office 2000 CD at one time, but have
misplaced it. I'm now upgrading to Office 2003, but it
asks for the 2000 CD to remove 2000 from my PC. I ignored
it, but 2000 still is there. How can I remove it without
the CD?

Thanks all!
Rob

Extremely dirty method of removing office 2000

backup any data files that you want to keep in case of mistakes then delete
any folders/directories relating to office 2000/word 2000. then run regedit
and in the find box put office 2000 and delete any reference to that. you
could also try finding and deleting any reference to word 2000, excel 2000
ect. reboot the computer then instal office 2003. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
It might also be advisable to set a restore point before doing this.
