Moving from Outlook 2000 to 2003, I find that an unread message in a
subfolder does not cause the upper level folder to become <b>bold</>. Thus,
in order to find new unread messages, I have to keep ALL subfolders open . It
is only the bottom level folder, containing the actual unread mail item, that
is bold.
I do not know if the following is part of the problem, but the menu item
TOOLS | SEND/ RECEIVE SETTINGS ! DEFINE SEND/RECEIVE GROUPS is sometimes
inaccessible and I need to rename the .srs file to cause Outlook to create a
new one thus giving me access to the menu item. Although this fixes the menu
problem, it does not fix the subfolder issue I have.
Thanks for your help.
