unsafe attatchments

Hi, i'm having problems downloading mail with
attachments. No matter what, or who its from, Outlook
express 6 removes them saying they are unsafe. Is there
a way to view the attachments or solve this problem? I
would be very greatful for help!!
(OS is XP home, if that makes a difference.)
