Unwanted styles with landscape page

I start a new blank document. The Styles task pane shows only Clear
Formatting and Normal. When I change the page orientation to landscape, and
without changing anything else, styles called Address, Organisation name,
Body Text and Title are added. Anyone know why?

What version Publisher? Sounds as though the Business Information (2007) is
active in the Styles.

How are you selecting your page setup? Is it from the Getting Started menu? If
you click the *new* icon on the publication screen, select landscape from the
page setup do you still get the same style?

Hello Mary
Thanks for replying.
Version is Publisher 2003 SP3
I start a new document by clicking the New button then File>Page Setup. I
get the same effect if I choose Full Page from the blank templates option in
the Wizard and then go File>Page Setup.
I'm grateful for your help. I'm trying to sort this out because I'm teaching
DTP beginners to set up styles, and I don't want them confronted by styles
they haven't created when they are doing a test assignment.

Take a look at the Font Schemes. Do a duplication of your selected font scheme,
delete the styles you don't want. I've never confronted your issue before. I'm
not sure how to proceed.

Have you tried a Detect and Repair?

Hi Mary
I have looked at the Wizard Font Scheme, which is the one in use, and the
user info styles I mentioned stand out as quite different from the others,
much larger. I can delete the styles from this font scheme but of course they
reappear when I restart Publisher. I've now found that if I leave the page as
portrait, go to Font Schemes and then back to Style & Formatting, those extra
styles appear! Wierd. Sadly I'm going to have to hope it doesn't occur on
their test machines, as I've run out of time to sort this, but thanks for
your suggestions.
Best wishes
Sue
